Orbs History
Historical Proof for Orbs
With the introduction of digital photography and coming into the hands of common people digital cameras, the phenomenon of white, transparent balls appearing in photographs suddenly increased manifold. If there were only a few thousand in the know of orbs when it was B&W era, practically everyone now knows about orbs and the believers and non believers. While the believers say that there is something paranormal about orbs and that they are actually ghosts manifesting themselves in the form of white balls of different sizes and shapes (they are even moving now a days in videos), non believers find them to be nothing of note and explain them in terms of speck or dust particles settling on the lens just at the time of photo being taken.
There was a time when photography was limited to a few professionals only and people did not have access to handy cameras. It was at this time that transparent balls in some photos were noticed. The fact that a few of these photos wee taken at desolate places like graveyards and cemeteries helped in making people believe about something mysterious about these orbs. It was this connection with the graveyards that made people think of these white balls as spiritual orbs. Orbs were perceived as spirits of dead people who were reluctant to leave earth and remained in the midst of living people, showing up in photos. Orbs have always been considered as benign spirits doing nothing to disturb people and merely having a desire to be near the living people.
50 years ago, when people got photographed only on special occasions or when they went to a photographer’s studio, it was natural for people to get excited to know about the existence of spirits or ghosts in their photos and people showed great interest in getting a chance to see photos that contained pictures of orbs. However, as the world transformed from B&W to color and cameras became a common household item, more and more people reported catching orbs on photos taken by them. However, photos were still developed at studios and people were not aware if photos clicked by them had these orbs or not. It was only during the 90’s that digital cameras arrived on the scene. With these cameras, orbs could be seen in not just desolate places but even during happy events like birthdays and anniversaries. It seemed that these so called ghosts enjoyed the company of human beings and even had fun at the expense of us humans which is reflected in the way some orbs have been reported as having played with the instruments of photographers at events.
There were a number of websites that accepted photos of orbs as a proof of something paranormal till only a few years ago. But with these balls appearing in photos of nearly all people’s cameras without any justification, these websites have now decided not to accept orb photos anymore.
Whatever may be scientific explanation, historically orbs have been viewed as something to do with spirits and the paranormal.
